I am trying to install DVD::RIP from source but don't know exactly what I am doing :( .
What do I need to do to be able to install from source? Here is what I did.

tar xvzf Video-DVDRip-0.52.6.tar.gz
tar: Video-DVDRip-0.52.6.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

Can anyone guide me through this? thx.

Try un-gunzipping the file before you try the tar command.
At the prompt: gunzip Video-DVDRip-0.52.6.tar.gz

Then start the tar process.

Also as a side note, there are packages for it on Livna and Freshrpms/Dries. ("yum install perl-Video-DVDRip")

The easiest way is yum and as Spoon! says do a
yum install perl-Video-DVDRip

Thanks everyone, I did the apt install and got it working. Haven't had time to work the kinks out of it yet since I've been on vacation. Thanks again.

Is there guide for DVD-Rip?
My problem is only using the program. In preferences, there's locations and other things what i don't understand.
I'm a newbie, so i don't have much skills. :)

I am having trouble getting it to read my 4-wheeler video. Will figure it out sooner or later though ;).
