I have a gray G3 and am unable to boot in to the Fedora CD1 or boot.iso CD. Even when I press the C key, it just loads with the typical Mac screen for a few seconds, and then reboots... and does the same thing again.

How would I start the installation process... is there other ways to force my mac to boot in to the linux cd? ..or any idea what the problem is.

Thank you.
Mike

You have an OldWorld Mac. There is no free CD bootloader for OldWorld Macs, and so Fedora Core doesn't officially support installation on these. I know that Debian has a nice boot disk for installation on OldWorld Macs, and old versions of Mandrake and YellowDog support installing on them too.

wow.. that's suckage!

I figured, if any OS, linux be the one that could bring this Mac to live ..but I guess not. :(

Many people use Linux on Macs like the one you have; but just with a different distro (like Debian) that has better methods for installing it.
