I've been running FC4 for a few months now and I'm still running the ropes. While FC seems to run fine (I use XFCE because I want a light system), I was just wondering if my Celeron processor (800 mhz) hampers my performance. Would a comparable Pentium boost performance at all? Not that I can really change that, I'm just curious. Thanks!

As always it depends on what you are doing. If you use your linux system for every day work, like word processing, browsing the internet, listening to music and such things you won't realize much difference. Adding more ram or a faster hard drive will gain much more then.

The pentium (which main difference is more cache as far as I know) can be much faster if you're doing things like compiling programs from source or encoding mp3 files or rendering dvd disks.
