View Full Version : "rpm -q glibc" results multiple same output.

Hi
See below. How come I see "glibc-2.3.5-10" aprears two times.
[root@localhost oracle]# rpm -q glibc
glibc-2.3.5-10
glibc-2.3.5-10
[root@localhost oracle]#

try: rpm -qa glibc ;)

Still I see, it is repeating. Why it has to repeat ? What is this means ?
[root@localhost ~]# rpm -qa glibc
glibc-2.3.5-10
glibc-2.3.5-10
[root@localhost ~]#

If you have a x86_64 installation, you have both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of glibc and some other libraries. Try "yum list glibc", it will show the architecture of installed packages.
