Heya all

I installed an extension in thunderbird, and now thunderbird ceases to load at all. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling thunderbird, and deleting the .thunderbird directory structure in my home directory, but to no avail. Any help? How can I get rid of this extension which seems to be the cause of my problems?

Did you do as root:
rpm -e thunderbird??

yes :(

I've just tried it again, and it will not load

I just tried sudo thunderbird and it started loading, so there must be something wrong with my user profile perhaps...

Ok, reboot and after that try to install from yum:
yum install thunderbird and see if that helps,

yep, did that. Still no luck! I have tried it on a new user account I just set up, and it works perfectly. Just will not load at all on my normal user account. Do you know of any other config files/profiles apart from the .thunderbird directory in the home directory?

Well that's just odd. After playing around with a new user, then deleting all those profiles, it now loads up in my normal user account! Not sure what fixed it, but thankyou for your help! :)

Sometimes you have to logout or even reboot for some changed to take effect.
