I'm not sure if this post belongs here but figured I'd try here first. Ok here's the situation. A friend of mine up until now had never used any Red Hat products. He downloaded FC4 onto a second drive he has in his pc, the other being mainly for MS. Prior to downloading and installing FC4, he did not back up any of the files he had saved on the 2nd hdd. He came to me in hopes that I could help him in recovering these files. Unfortunately I have no experience with any Red Hat product, so I dont know what can be done to possibly recover these files if in fact there is any way to do so. I'm hoping that someone here can provide some help.

Take a look at the Fedora-FAQ http://www.fedorafaq.org/. There you will find information about mounting NTFS systems (You could also mount a fat32 partition). After you have mounted the drive, you can burn the data onto a CD, using e.g. K3B.
