hi..

I just installed staroffice and so i dont see the need for openoffice.

any idea how could i remove it ?

i tried yum remove openoffice but failed

Desktop/System Settings/Add/Remove Applications
Located in taskbar

yum list installed *office*


Should give you an idea of the package names to uninstall.

You should be typing yum remove open-office*

Once i installed StarOffice...

I don't have a shortcut just like openoffice at the startmenu.. it is weird

any idea how should i do it ?

No problem, but you do mean yum remove open-office*, right? For a moment there, I lost my vision. :D

Once i installed StarOffice...

Are you using KDE or GNOME? If you're using KDE, use KMenu to add in the shortcut manually. If you're using GNOME, you'd need Smeg to do it. You can install Smeg from http://www.fedorafaq.org/#editmenus
