Ok, I have quite a large problem on my hands.
I have gnome installed, but when I boot I can only login to twm. Gnome is still there, I have verified this through system-config-packages, but I can't remove it, upgrade it, install it, or boot to it. I am in twm right now, but I am going to need gnome back and I would like to know if there is nay way besides reinstalling Fedora that I can get it back. If you need any filedumps just ask, I'll be checking this thread often for help. Thanks in advance.

Do you get any errors ?

Try this:
Boot in text-mode.
Create the file .xinitrc (mention the '.'!):
nano .xinitrc

Add this line:
exec gnome-session

Close the tekst-editor.

Start the X-server:
startx

Sorry for the late reply. I got some help fixing the problem, it seems my gnome-session file got corrupted. An uninstall and reinstall of the file fixed everything. Thank you for your reply though ThijsH.

Hello,

I seem to have the same problem. What is the name of the file that you replaced?
