Currently, the kernel NTFS driver does not support writing to NTFS, only reading from it.

If you want to write, look into captive-ntfs

I know in the past times I tried this the means of doing it was VERY experimental. I have not tried to do writing to NTFS, but reading has been easy. What are you wanting to do here? Are you looking to use it as a means of moving files beteen systems? There is a tool that allows you to read/write data to Linux EXT partitions, not sure if it currently supports version 3 though. Can you give us more details on what you are trying to accomplish?
