What is the best way to install MythTV? I have tried several guides and have not had any success. It doesn't show up in yum or apt and compiling it is a bit over my head. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

It's in Atrpms - but I don't think it's been built for FC4 yet.

O ok. I was on FC 4. I will try it with FC 3 and see if it works.

Thanks

Check this one out. It is more expensive than a PCI card but it is USB.

I'm still having problems setting up myth with FC3 but it seems like there is hope this time. I am having trouble getting my tuner card to work. I have the wintTV PVR 500 MCE. apt wont install the ivtv drivers. Does anyone know what might cause this?

as far as i know support for the 500 is in its infancy. i used yum to install mythtv-suite which is available for fc4. just setup your atrpms repo correctly. as for installing the ivtv driver, grab the suprisingly stable unstable release from http://ivtv.tv

oh yeah and the usb models don't work with mythtv / linux last i checked
