but i got a couple of questions on it.. firstly :

1) When i go by any machine on the network and try to connect to http://whateverdomain/webmail and i try to log in with a user, besides the user that is logon to the linux box.. i get "You have to be logged in to access this page".. can some example this error please... and how to fix it.. I can access the imap email through a mail client like outlook or eudora.. but the squirrel mail thingy not work..

2) can i use this that setup above to collect my pop3 email ? I have an internet domain pointing to my office server which has a dynamic ip.. if so how can i set up postfix/dovecot to receive and send pop3 emails.

3) what forum program is this... I like it.. i would like to use it for my tech support forum on my company site..

thanks a mil for all the help.

1. Not sure what you mean here.
2. Use fetchmail or Squirrelmail pop stuff for this.
3. See the bottom of this page ;-)

1) When i go by any machine on the network and try to connect to http://whateverdomain/webmail and i try to log in with a user, besides the user that is logon to the linux box.. i get "You have to be logged in to access this page".. can some example this error please... and how to fix it.. I can access the imap email through a mail client like outlook or eudora.. but the squirrel mail thingy not work.. make sure that your DocumentIndex line in httpd.conf only has index.html and index.php (in that order, unless you have specific need for another one if so put it after those) and that you do not have an index.html in your webmail directory. what it sounds like is that its trying to load a page in squirrel mail other than the login page, which index.php should refer to. good way to test is to try to go to http://webserver.com/webmail/index.php .... still get the error?

2) can i use this that setup above to collect my pop3 email ? I have an internet domain pointing to my office server which has a dynamic ip.. if so how can i set up postfix/dovecot to receive and send pop3 emails. go into /etc/dovecot.conf .. it should have very straight forward settings to make it also a pop3 server as well as IMAP. postfix/dovcot will not go out and check existing email account on other server (AFAIK). you will have to go to that server and tell it to forward you mail to your new dovcot/pastfix server.

3) what forum program is this... I like it.. i would like to use it for my tech support forum on my company site.. scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page.. it lists it ( Powered by vBulletin 2000-2004 Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.).

I did what u suggested` The login page works... but any other user besides the linux user that is logged in.. gets "to access this page you needed to be logged" .. any more ideas ?

And what i meant about the email is that i want to setup pop3 accounts on the server.. for example... the server domain name is itctt.net .. and the emails i have working for imap are andreb@itctt.net and nlett@itctt.net.. I also want those same emails to be pop3 accounts where people can email us via the website/internet.. and still use the imap settings to download and send emails.. is this possible ?
