This is my first posting, so hello altogether :)

I have an Apple iPod an I use it with gtkpod. But the connection has some serious stability issues, both wih USB 2.0 and FireWire. That means that when transferring some hundred mp3 files, the transfer often aborts, and the iPod is unmounted and not mountable again until next reboot.
I already formatted the iPod with iTunes under Windows because with the HFS+ system on it I suddenly lost write access (without any indication why, it had worked all well before).
Under FC3, before I lost write access to it, I was able to transfer arbitrary amounts of data to my iPod without a single connection issue; the only problem was that back then I had to be root to use it.
My USB 2.0 and FireWire interfaces are on an add-on PCI card with VIA chipsets. Are there perhaps any known issues with these chipsets under FC4?
