:)
Hi, just wondering if Linux distros for PPC will still work, once and if Apple moves to intel processors.

That depends on which chipset they are going to use, I heard it too, and if they are going to use x86 or 64 I think it should work. Or it is going to work with some adjustments. Linux runs on everything (almost everything)!

Since Fedora is already working on x86 and ppc (mostly) there's little reason to worry. If there are differences the Fedora on Mac enthusiasts (http://bytebot.net/geekdocs/ibook/fedorappc.html) will attempt to fix them.

Besides, this is just a rumor. Search for Apple and Intel and you'll see plenty of places debunking the myth. I believe this rumor has surfaced before too.

It's also important to remember that Apple already use Intel chips in storage kit, so "A deal between Apple and Intel" doesn't necessarily mean a thing.

Hey,
once mac moves to Intel, just install with the x86 Intel or x86_64 if mac decides to use 64 bit (Probable,) CD and not the PPC ones.

Linux runs on everything (almost everything)! lol yup! I've seen Linux on palm, cell phones, iPod, (and obviously, hard drives... lol :p)

You forgot about Linux running on the Nintendo DS. Now all those people who otherwise wasted their money on the DS will be able to atleast run Linux on it.
