Hi,

I am having some difficulty getting additional window managers working on FC3. I have the latest build with kernel 2.6.11.14 running on a new IBM T42 laptop (yes FC3 works out of the box on these!).

Now my home PC is setup the same however I had to downgrade to kernel 2.6.10.770_FC3smp so I could use the ATi drivers in DRI mode. On my home PC I was able to download the relevant RPM's for enlightenment and fvwm and after using YUM to install the rpm files everything worked fine, XDM listed the new window managers.

I am having no such luck on the laptop though, not sure what conf files to check/edit - please advise.

Cheers,

FZ

You can also install a desktop switcher. (http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=20679)
