View Full Version : Can i get my other partition on linux??

i have a 120 gig HDD and 8 partition. I installed linux in one of them and now i can only see that partition. I want to know i can can see and get my other partition on Linux if not tell me how i can resolve that problem without loosing my other partition' s files.

Open terminal and become root and run:
/sbin/fdisk -l this will show your partition table and can also use qtparted (http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=33085)

BTW post your hard table...

it says cant open /dev/hda ???

You will have to use the technique of copy and paste....so we can see your issues. Now copy the entire message from the terminal and paste in your next post. Remember you have to become root in the terminal (type: su and enter root's passw.).

yeah now i can see my other partition but how i can make it sort that linux will read those other partition ex: i have some mp3 in a partition ( NTFS windows ) how i can retrieve them??
