Running FC3 on my PowerBook Titanium 800Mhz, the CPU seems to be working 100% all the time. The computer gets really hot, and the noisy fans are running all the time. I think the CPU speed control is badly configured!?

I read about the problem here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/beta/long_list.cgi?buglist=132422 (http://)
But the CPU's mention are 500Mhz and 667Mhz!

The guy apparently fixed the problem by adding the code (a patch) to the kernel, but how do I do that (to see if it works on my powerbook)?

Hope someone can help

Kind regards

I have the same problem with my ibook 800Mhz, apparently its supposed to drop to 600 or something using CPUspeed, but I never really notice much of a difference. It Runs hot all the time.

Please tell me this is fixed in FC4 Test 1, as I have a mac mini experiencing the same issue under FC3 PPC. If not, is there a way to manually set the CPU speed?

Should we be looking at YDL for now?

Cheers.
