View Full Version : Nvidia drivers for a 13 year old newbie

Hi all
Just got FC3 up and running . Really good. I just wanted to know if the is an easyier way to install the 3d drivers than nvidias way?

Any help/repliyes would be much appriceated.

procedure:
log off.
press ctrl+alt+f1 log on as root
type

telinit 3
sh ./Nvidia.......run accept licence ignore warnings
modprobe nvidia
cp -a /dev/nvidia* /etc/udev/devices/
startx

modify xorg.conf appropriately: remove load dri change nv to nvidia also change Videocard0 to nvidia. note that there are two Videocard0 in xorg.conf
log off type

telinit 5 you will see the nvidia logo for 3 seconds. installation achieved.
