I read in Forum a similar problem about not being able to use refresh with kde stable repositories with yumex with out it crashing and that the way instead was to use commands instead ,but I found I still have same problem with it still crashing ,so I opened up yumex using terminal and then added one of the KDE RedHat Stable repos and pressed refresh and got error on Terminal stating "cannot find a valid baseurl for repo" also I get another error on yumex startup on terminal stating "GTK: /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/engines/libmet al.so: undefined symbol: gtk_toggle_button_get_type" But the one thats I really dont understand is When pressing output button on yumex at startup it says "not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - None
not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - None
not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping - None" AnyWay I was hoping someone might know what they mean and if its possible to fix them and are they anything to worry about ? My main problem is how to get the KDE repos working Though. Thanks From Jason

I have been sucessfully using yumex (version 0.30-3) for a while.

Your first error looks more like a config file issue rather than yumex issue. Do you have a baseurl defined in the repo files? One of my repo files (/etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-updates.repo) looks like:

---------------------------

[updates-released]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Released Updates
baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/$releasever/$basearch/
#baseurl=http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/updates-released-fc$releasever
#baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/3/i386/
http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/core/updates/3/i386/
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1

-------------------

The second error makes me wonder which release of Fedora Core you are running. Is it FC2 or FC3? My libmet.so file is located /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/engines/libmetal.so. I am running FC3. Not sure that yumex is designed to work with FC2. Try authors web site http://linux.rasmil.dk/mambo/index.php

Hope this helps a little.
