It seems we will have a bit more delay (1 week probably) for core 2 test1 from what i read on the mailing list

So I've heard, I'm not too bothered though. I can't download the ISOs due to my rubbish connection.

The 12th of Feb is the new test1 release date. Here's the updated schedule:

Actually FC1 came with reiserfs support along with a number of others.
When you run the installer, type "linux reiserfs" at the prompt and that's it.

All in all the release schedule hasn't been delayed that much, yet anyway. It's only an extra 2 weeks onto the FC2 release date, and I think the wait will be worth it.

It's good to see RH being so diligent with their high levels of QA. Much beter to see them sit down and iron out all the important bugs rather than rushing to meet a release date. Unfortunately, SELinux won't be enabled by default for test1, but this is fine if it ends up increasing the usability and stability of its integratation into the Core by the time release 2 arrives.
The developers have had some major issues to work out including a nasty kernel bug that went unresolved for a couple weeks that became a major contributor to the test1 delay.
