Will superkaramba run on flubox? That looks like a flubox background and desktop.

I don't see why not - fluxbox supports KDE, right?

You may need to play around with the settings.

crackers, I've been a gnome user since day one. So I do know if is supports it or not.

kelcherwong -

I have it running in FC3, gnome. I suggest setting the "own_window" varibale value to yes. I also have the "double_buffer" variable set to value yes.

The only issue I have had concerns updating the temps & fan speed. These do not update once torsmo is started. I have to kill & restart torsmo to get updated values. Other items update properly.

Anyone have any exprience with torsmo & FC3 (w/gnome)?

gdesklets
Superkaramba
gkrellm

All are good for this. I use gkrellm myself, as you can see in a recent screenshot of my Window Maker desktop on FC3: http://www.fedoraforum.org/gallery/showimage.php?i=414&c=1&cutoffdate=all

gkrellm is that bar that stretches down from the top left-hand corner. gkrellm has lots of pluging and skins.

I used superkaramba in the past and I liked it because it's very easy to write your own themes and plugins. I just haven't gotten around to installing it yet. I have never used gdesklets, but I know lots of people who swear by it.

I have used gkrellm & torsmo. Im a system monitor nut. There is just something addictive about torsmo even though gkrellm is my preferred desktop monitor. My screenshot is in the gallery.

I was trying to assit kelcherwong with what little I know about torsmo. I have it running a small shell script I found & modified to get eth0 ip address shown in the screenshot. These scripts can be run by torsmo via the "execi" command provide in ~/.torsmorc.

Evert -

I have installed your rpm. Works fine on this system (gnome, FC3, kernel 2.6.10-1.741_FC3). Doesnt solve underlying problem with temps not updating or fan speed div error (my fan speed is under reported - needs to multiplied by div = 4 given in the sensors output). Only way I can update temps is to kill & restart torsmo. Guess we will have to wait for next release. Havent tried the cvs version.

Ivanek - thanks. I downloaded Evert's package, and then made the changes that you suggested. The flicker is gone, and it seems to work well. Cool app.
