Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, so hi everyone! Thanks for reading.

I have an ATI Radeon 9500 and also a Samsung LCD monitor. I just got my 4 (or 5) Fedora core 3 cds.

Installation didn't really work. Everytime it tries to run anaconda.... it gives me a black screen.

Anyways, I used the "nofb" and "resolution=1024x768" settings and it runs fine.

Now, when i try to boot, it gives me the black screen again. I pressed Cntrl+Alt+F1 and I see error messgaes....

"RADEON: No matching Device section.... " errors like that.

Any hints? Suggestions? How should I deal with this? Fedora core 2 seems to work fine. What is going on?

And can anyone give me a brief overview of Xorg thing? I know there was Xfree before?

So, I'm pretty new to Linux and I'm willing to learn, so thanks for your time again.

Justin
