View Full Version : boot fail after dnf update

At the end for a dnf update execution my terminal crashed and I coulden't restart it.
When I try restarting my computer it fails.
Here are the red lines that output journalctl -xb in rescue mode:

DMAR: Failed to find handle for ACPI object \+SB.PCI0.SDMA
DMAR: Failed to find handle for ACPI object \+SB.PCI0.SDHC

ISCSI daemon with pid=335 started!
can'topen InitiatorName configuration file /etc/iscsi/initiatorname.iscsi
Warning file /etc/iscsi/initiatorname.iscsi does not existor does not contain a properly ...
can't open InitiatorNameAlias...
can't open iscsid.safe_logout...

cannot open file /tmp/rpcbind.xdr
cannot open file /tmp/portmap.xdr

Failed to mount /boot/efi

Connection Error (failedto connect to socket /run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory): AVC Will be dropped

Does anyone has an idea?

Fedora usually keep the last 3 kernel(if you have updated at least twice), if newest kernel doesn't work, try older kernel.
Next time you shouldn't use terminal to run "dnf upgrade" or "dnf update", use "ctrl + alt + Fn" to open Command Line Interface.
example : ctrl + alt + F2 (for kde, back to kde with ctrl + alt + F1) or ctrl + alt + F3 (for gnome, back to gnome with ctrl + alt + F2).
