you need to be more specific here please, which fedora version and build of yumex-dnf?

yumex is obsolete and using it will/can cause breakage as yum can't handle modern packages, from F25 on packages uses requires, recommends and suggests.

sudo dnf erase yumex yum

I find it clunky but you can try dnfdragora
it does seem to work and I read where it is under active development.

There is no yumex-dnf installed in system. Is it needed ?

Thank you for notice, I used yumex mostly for checking packages, not for installing/removing.

Thank you. I'm sorry, it doesn't work: https://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?316430-F26-can-t-run-dnfdragora-or-make-upgrade-using-it

You missed the point, yumex is DEAD!!!!, it died just before F24 release.

Excuse me, I've removed yum and yumex but I didn't mention that.

I'm learning english and maybe I should have used another terms in "I used yumex mostly for checking..."

"I had been using yumex mostly for checking..." is correct ?

well then you don't have yumex unless it is an outdated build from a previously upgraded Fedora that got left behind. there is a maintained yumex on copr which does work okay. I asked about yumex-dnf because the output indicated the command was handled by the dnf backend. however if you just used the 'yum' command in terminal you have been using dnf anyway. yumex and yum have been deprecated since Fedora 24. yum commands just get handed to dnf.

$ yumex
bash: yumex: bash: unknown command...

$ yumex-dnf
bash: yumex-dnf: bash: unknown command...

So I hope nothing outdated has left in the system.
