View Full Version : Gnome won't go home, never lets Cinnamon come out to play.

I just moved from 23 to 27. I loved Cinnamon there, but when I downloaded it after installing 27 (with Gnome), Gnome kept loading after choosing Cinnamon at login. Not quite sure what to do. I mean, Gnome and I used to be friends, but then we started growing apart. I play with Cinnamon now.

Try forcing gdm to use xorg

sudo sed -i -e 's@#WaylandEnable@WaylandEnable@g' /etc/gdm/custom.conf

Follow Leigh's advice but also give gnome some Texas ghost peppers.

I also faced same problem. Logout and select gnome specifically. Again logout and now select cinnamon.
