Hello,

I have a FC 25 on a LXC container.

Trying to upgrade to FC26, dnf complains about no kernel:

# dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=26

Complete!
The downloaded packages were saved in cache until the next successful transaction.
You can remove cached packages by executing 'dnf clean packages'.
Error: No new kernel packages were found.

So, how to I upgrade without kernel?

You can use

$ dnf --releasever=26 upgrade
from the inside, or additionally `--installroot` option from the host system.

As always, you would need to install Fedora 26 packages signing key (https://getfedora.org/keys/) first or run dnf with `--nogpgcheck` option.
