View Full Version : Fedora 26 Multiseat

In order to get multiseat to work in fedora 26, I followed the excellent guide on https://bluehatrecord.wordpress.com/2015/01/15/multiseat-configuration-in-fedora-21/ but I also had to also uncomment the

WaylandEnable=false

line in /etc/gdm/custom.conf, otherwise seat0 was unable to start gnome.

I always found multi-seat setups interesting, but it never made economic sense to me, since one can go to the local city dump and pick up Windows virus infested recycled PCs for about $50 a pop and they will all run Linux nicely.

Good point, but multiseat has other advantages like using less power, less (hardware and software) maintenance, and less clutter because less tower cases lying around.
