Nano is a useful text editor for Linux and one of the most useful commands, at least for me, is delete.

To delete a line in nano.

CTRL + K

To delete the character currently under your cursor.

CTRL + D

So to delete a block of text. Find the beginning of the block.

CTRL + Shift + 6

Then use the arrow keys to highlight the text you want to delete.

CTRL + D

ALT + A

Alt - U
