Hi everyone, I'm new but my Fedora 26 randomly freezes. Doesn't matter what i'm doing, sometimes everything freezes, cooling fan starts working at maximum speed and I can't do anything except to power it off.
When i boot it up again it shows error log that some of programs stopped working (every time it's different program).

I use Acer E1-510, N2920 processor (Intel), 4GB RAM I use it for my college but these freezes are freaking me out.

I searched for forum, but nothing helpul...

Thanks for help.

Find how to check RAM (memcheck). Also try a different distro.

I had the same problem and traced it to a bad Gnome shell extension. I disabled it and it has been good since. Too bad that more control can't be implemented to these.

run top or htop to find out which prozess causes the load and kill it (firefox can do that load)
