View Full Version : Error during Fedora KDE 26 boot!

7th August 2017, 09:00 PM

I am trying to install Fedora KDE 26 64 bits in dual boot on my laptop.
To do so I made a bootable usb using Rawrite32.
No matter if I choose "start fedora", test this media and start fedora" or even
"start fedora in basic graphic mode", it does the same thing. Being new to this, I am not
even sure if this is an error or what it is.
Here are 2 pictures, the first one being what happens at the start, the second one is what I get after I wait some time.

Thank you in advance

Error message is
dracut Warning: Unable to process initqueue
dracut Warning: /dev/disk/by-label/Fedorax2017x20i386 does not exist
dracut Warning: /dev/mapper/live-rw does not exist

this is from an ISO downloaded from the Fedora Project site and it is 32 bit DVD install NOT the Live CD.

solution: change boot line options

Original line is
vmlinuz initrd=initrd.img root=live:CDLABEL=Fedora\x2017\x20i386 quiet

change it to
vmlinuz initrd=initrd.img root=LIVE:/dev/sr0 quiet

and it should work err well it works for me.
