Hi, I just upgraded from Fedora 25 to Fedora 26 xfce spin.

My fonts in Evolution look odd, and when I tried to open Adobe reader it came up with strange fontconfig errors?

I checked the font.conf file and the errors listed seem to be there, but I don't know enough to be able to correct this?

Has anyone else had this and found a solution?

Kind Regards

Hi, yes this is weird, I am using "liberation sans" for the xfce4 desktop, and they do look different.

I've compared the /etc/fonts/fonts.conf files between fc25 and fc26, the only difference is in the cache directory.

I have the same appearance settings than before, but the font rendering is different.

Interestingly enough, I also upgraded my laptop, and the fonts look the same than before.

Hard to spot what is causing this :-(

Hi Nickolai, I hadn't checked that because unfortunately I upgraded my laptop from 25 to 26 yesterday! So once I had upgraded the desktop, I had no point of reference.

I reported it to Bugzilla, but they say it isn't a bug as the conf file needs editing to correct it.

Unfortunately I do not know how to do that.

The file resides at /home/yourusername/.config/Fontconfig/fonts.conf

Before I think it resided at:- /home/yourusername/..fontconfig/xxxxx.cache-3 (there are 7 files in mine)

Kind Regards
