All the links are to 1.6 images that look to be from last week. The links to spins are 404'ing at the moment.

I'm curious to see if I can get something other than Live Gnome to boot here.

I think only LXDE seems to be broken now. Others I can get an ISO.

Thanks. Those images are from the 4th, though. I guess new images weren't built for the beta release.

The booting situation here remains the same with the spin images through yesterday's nightlies: no boot without nomodeset. One thing they have in common is that they don't use GDM. MATE/XFCE/Cinnamon are fine installed onto an existing Gnome system. Also fine via a minimal install and then adding them, so long as I don't enable a graphical boot and use startx.

@Joncr - they were the images passed as ready to go at the go/no go meeting. so you are correct, beta 1.6 is the official beta release image.

Thanks.

I filed a bug report about the no-booting thing, so maybe something will come of it eventually. Running the installer with nomodeset is one thing, using it as SOP is a non-starter.

Hi,

Sorry for the silly question but I wanna know if I can install fedora 24 beta and keep on updating with dnf untill the stable version. I mean not having to make a version upgrade but just updating, or is it the same as having fedora 23 and having to upgrade with a new installation?

Thank you in advance.

yes damonh, the beta will be fine to carry on with. when F24 goes RTM, the repo data on your machine will be patched accordingly via dnf as well. so no need to start again at that time.

Thank you for your answer antikythera. I'll install f24b and try it.
