Hello,

This is my first post here on this great forum.

I posted this problem at ask.fedoraproject.org but so far I haven't received any answers.

After logging in, my Fedora is freezing at black screen with cursor in center, this started happening after latest update.

If there is no solution for this, can someone please tell me how I can uninstall Fedora and remove it's from grub menu.

Thanks

Yes, this is a great place for help.

BTW, what version of Fedora are you running? Which version of the kernel? And what kind of CPU?

Thanks for trying to help, I'll check that and get back. My CPU is G3258.

I didn't read the "No Questions" in the bracket and I couldn't find a proper section for my question.

I'm using Fedora 22.

Is it an update (yum update, or yumex) that you used or did you upgrade from a previous version of Fedora to 22?

I've seen a few posts here where people report of upgrades gone bad?

I'm using yumex-dnf (a GUI program) to update packages, and this past Spring I typed the following into a shell prompt:

fedup 22 network

when you power up your PC you should get a list of 3 kernels to choose from. It may be that the latest one is causing a problem. Select one of the older kernels and see how you go

I don't use yumex or yum, my OS automatically installs update and no I didn't upgrade from a previous version.

Yes, apart from the rescue version other two are also giving the same problem, the rescue version is freezing intermittently.
