Hello,

After XFCE desktop iinstall/tweak/uninstall on my old fedora 22 testing partition, I cannot start Openbox from the greeter anymore.
When I replace PREFERRED=startlxde by openbox in /etc/sysconfig/desktop it runs on openbox but then I can't switch to LXDE.

I wasted few hours to solve the problem but I didn't found the solution. Can you help me, please?

Fedora 22 LXDE

You might need to put the full path.

One of my systems (which does use lxde) has:

PREFERRED=/usr/bin/startlxde
DISPLAYMANAGER=/usr/sbin/lxdm

I'm using lxdm simply because the system really just can't handle Gnome. (Dell Inspiron b130, with only 512MB).

Hello,

Thanks for the answer but I just forget to write the full path in my post.

PREFERRED=/usr/bin/startlxde
DISPLAYMANAGER=/usr/sbin/lxdm

Maybe a conf file is corrupted ?

EDIT:
Upgrade to 23 solved the problem.
Thanks anyway.
