I am trying to install the x software development package from add/remove programs so that I can then install wine. When I try to install x software development package a "Packages Not Found" warning pops up. Included in the list is "xorg-x11-libs". When I run "rpm -qa | grep xorg" included in the list is "xorg-x11-libs-6.8.1-12.FC3.21". What gives? Thanx.

use apt

http://apt.freshrpms.net

or do directly

rpm -ivh http://ftp.freshrpms.net/pub/freshrpms/fedora/linux/3/apt/apt-0.5.15cnc6-1.1.fc3.fr.i386.rpm

OK I used yum instead. Still very strange that it didnt see the package already installed. I even rebuilt the rpm database. hmmmmmm. thanx
