Of all the betas that I started this is not my favorite. It takes a long time to start on my AMD in live mode.

Wow, my stystem is running noticably faster under 22. Nice!

Also, the new Gnome app sandboxing works:

Can you try to start anaconda in basic graphics mode?

When the screen prompts you to select different options, Choose Troubleshooting --> Start in Basic graphics mode.

That might help.

Could you also provide the hardware specification? I have a recent AMD KAVERI laptop with dual graphics cards (see the sigs).

Since i just borkend my python (createrepo at least), currently running G3-F22, laptop feels cooler (temprature) than with AwesomeWM.
Currently building custom livespin for f22 :)

I am just giving it a go on my Lenovo T410. Intallation was a little rocky. Check-sum did agree on my first download. My second download, everyting worked. Anaconda burped a little on installation. I'm sure when I reboot and do any updates all will be fine. I'm testing Workstatiokn. I'm usually a KDE fan. What better test than to go outside of my comfort zone.

You do realize the Beta won't look very much like the official? KDE usually in betas on Fedora has very sparse themes.

No , I didnt know that at all. Haha oh well lancelot not being available was a deal breaker anyways. I despise the stock launcher. Maybe ill check it out once RC.

As for now f20 just finished installing. Plasma 5 on fc21 looked like the very first windows lol

The operating mode at least for the KDE development in Fedora seems to be that they work on the KDE plumbing first in the alpha and beta, then much closer to release the eye candy starts showing up. I think the effect of this will be more pronounced this time due to going from plasma 4 to 5.

For example in NetworkManager in KDE, the nice traffic plot is gone when you look at an interface. I expect that's going to show back up in a while. Also many of the old KDE widgets are missing and probably still being ported. One that I miss is "yet another weather plasmoid (yawp)", I'm making due with the Yahoo one.

That softpedia article was written before RC3 was found to be a go after fixing blocker issues. So AFAIK it is still go for 26th May now.

Yes, just a few minutes ago. I've archived the Development Forum and added F22 to the regular Forum description. (Now, if I could JUST get that long email to post on this forum without ending up as a complete mess..... )
