View Full Version : XFCE, network connection icon disappeared (nm-applet?)

Hi!

The network connection icon disappeared in XFCE (in F21 x64) some days ago.
I think, it is the nm-applet. The nm-applet is running (it is in ps). Why did it disappear? Is it a bug in any update?
How can I solve this?

There is another thread that covered but it is a GTK3 update issue. The fix has been through updates-testing and should appear in updates very soon.

I made a little script to restart the applet, easier to remember wireless.sh than the line in it.

#!/bin/bash

# Restarts nm-applet (needed due to a bug).

ps uaxw | grep libsystray.so | grep -v grep | gawk '{print }' | xargs kill -9

All you need to do is 'xfce4-panel -r'

It doesn't work. :(
