I know that this is showing that the rpmfusion rep is failing, but this happened on a CLEAN install (without rpmfusion). I got a ton of these failed messages but the updates installed anyway. I can't get anything to install now with the rpmfusion.

Please help as to why this is failing. I've tried uninstalling the rpmfusion repo but it is still happening with the regular repos.

FYI -- I have tried running yum clean all many times and the same thing is happening. Everything I could find on the forum was for really old Fedora versions.

I copied the fedora.repo fedora-updates.repo and fedora-updates-testing.rep files from my desktop that is running Korora. Yum is working perfectly on that and it is still getting the exact same errors.

This makes no sense to me.

That sounds contradictory to me, you say the updates installed anyway and then you write you can't get anything to install, which is it?

If you get tons of those warnings but the updates eventually install, then it keeps trying mirror after mirror until it hits one with correct metadata. Usually that means some of the mirrors aren't synced up. In a while the problem will fix itself as various hosts are updated

Ok, let me try and explain this...

I have installed Fedora 4 times now. 32 bit DVD, 32 bit NetInstall, 64 bit netinstall. The same thing happens each time. After the install the first thing I do is run # yum update. It will successfully update the fedora and fedora-updates reps. However. when it gets to primary_db and gz_something, it fails because it says the metadata did not match the checksum. The updates that are installing are installing from the 2 successful repos.

However, if I run # yum update from my desktop, there are no errors at all. It updates fine.

So... I copied my repo files from my desktop to my new installation of Fedora 21 and I still got the same error. My desktop is running Korora 21 but it has the fedora repos installed and I just copied those.

Since I did that, I've now installed the 64bit version thinking that it might be a 32/64 bit thing and I'm still getting the same error.

The error is "Metadata does not match checksum"

I figured it out!

I have DansGuardian running on my router and it was blocking access to the mirrors for some reason. It was working on my other desktop because I have that desktop as an excluded IP address.

Is your Fedora a 32 or 64 bit system installation?

It was happening with both installations. It is currently 64 bit. I've installed it 5 times, I don't feel like doing it again. LOL

The problem was solved because the mirrors were being blocked from DansGuardian. It is all working now.

This makes no sense to me.

It takes more than repositories, there are a bunch of files in /etc/pki/gpg-rpm and even more.
copying repro files alone is not the solution. You have to include the certificates.

He's posted multiple times that the problem was his DansGuardian firewall -- this one is solved
