View Full Version : ATI Catalyst Manager on fedora 20?

hi i tried to install amd catalyst manager on my hp laptop to use amd 6490M graphic card but Gnome doesn't start so i uninstalled it from terminal so ican see sth!
right now i have to disable ATI card from BIOS to avoid over heating
is there any solution for this?
i really need the open GL and ... in fedora !
fedora ever gonna support AMD switchable graphics ?

It seems there is nobody developing Catalyst drivers at the moment in the Fedora community from what I have read on here.

Adding to the problem will be the switchable graphics. This makes it very complicated for anyone to develop drivers that work for all devices.

Some manufacturers customise the implementation of this switching. consequently those affected aren't even officially supported by updated packages from AMD. which is why the have the driver verification tool for windows.
