Vortaku's Guide on Remoting into Another Pc

Being an avid netflix fan, I watch it daily. I am using fedore 20 64bit, which I have not found a good way to watch netflix. Stupid silverlight and its microsoft exclusivity.

I am going to do this using google chrome, and an extension. if you do not have chrome isntalled check out this guide (http://www.howopensource.com/2013/04/yum-install-google-chrome-in-fedora-18-17-cent-os/).

So go to the google apps store on the computer you want to remote into, download Chrome Remote Desktop (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/chrome-remote-desktop/gbchcmhmhahfdphkhkmpfmihenigjmpp?hl=en-US&utm_source=chrome-ntp-launcher) then go through the setup and make the pin.

Now on the fedora machine, you will do the same thing, using the same app. This will allow you to remote into it and have control of the desktop, assuming the pc is on.

then once you are logged in open google and watch netflix streaming from the home pc to the laptop(atleast this is my setup)

enjoy killing time between classes at school with your awesome fedora laptop, that can watch netflix!
