This virtual HDD with 64bit XP I am trying to boot is the same one I was using under Fedora 14 on this same 64 bit Phenom II machine before upgrading to F19. It worked fine. However with the new version of VB under F19 it refuses to start. Anyone knows how to use the same VM under F19 that was working fine under F14?

If it matters the current version of Virtual Box is 4.3.4 r91027, IIRC I was on 4.1.28 under F14 when it actually worked.

PS: I find it interesting that a VM with 64 bit Win7 started up just fine. It almost sounds like Oracle forgot to test their new version against XP.

Select 64 Bit when creating the VM.

Machine > New. In the dropdown for "Version" select WindowsXP (64 Bit).
