View Full Version : Nautilus ignores option to confirm before deleting files

On FC2, nautilus deletes files without confirmation, even though I have it set in the options to ask before deleting. Makes for a pretty dangerous delete key, heh. At least the Trash can works. Anyone else having this problem?

If I right click on a file and choose move to trash it asks for conformation, but if I just click on a file and press the delete key it does not.

For me, both ways (delete key or 'right click->move to trash') does not ask for confirmation. Your behavior seems even stranger, at least mine is consistently wrong, heh. Are you using FC2?

Yes

Any other FC2 users out there who can test this?

Anyone know how to fix this problem??? It is the problem of the whole gnome, because the same happens when I delete files from desktop. I use FC4. Thanks...

Sorry for my maybe stupid questions.
I'm quite newbie in linux. Is there configuration file for gnome in the system where I can find the settings for "confirmation deleting files" ?

I love Fedora but this problem is really annoying for me :-(.
