View Full Version : Is playing DVDs and CDs with Totem a lost cause?

Totem won't play my DVDs.

I had it working on F16, but nothing I do is getting it to work on 19.

I put a DVD in and totem gives me a warning stating that the "stream is in the wrong format."

I've installed every gstreamer plugin I could find. I can give a list of installed plugins, but i'm not sure if that's permitted on this forum. Can I make this work, or should I just choose a different player?

I would try VLC. I've never been a big fan of totem, but, not having used it in a few years now, have no idea if it's still horrible or not.

Try vobcopy to find out if the files can be decoded properly.

Hi, I've answered your question at your other thread, be sure to have libdvdcss installed from the livna site found on the rpmfusion front page. See this thread, http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=293953. Have a good time.
