I've just installed F19 and want to build Qt5 from the source, as I have done in the past. The last time I did this I was under F15 and the build, although it took a long time, was successful. After a fresh install of F19 I'm getting a lot of errors related to qAbs. gcc appears to be telling me that there are syntax errors in the code despite the fact that it built OK under F15.

Example:

kernel/qtimerinfo_unix.cpp:98:30: error: redeclaration ‘constexpr T qAbs(const T&) [with T = timeval]’ differs in ‘constexpr’
timeval qAbs(const timeval &t)

with a caret ^ under the closing parenthesis ... qAbs(const timeintval &t)

Is there a problem with gcc in F19?

This is not exactly what you asked about, but FWIW Qt5 is already in in F19 repos.

Many thanks, that'll save me a lot of time and effort. Usually the Qt version in the F repos is so old it has grown a beard!

Cheers
