Guys! hope you all are doing great. Just a question, with new Linux kernel, there is a new kmod-nvidia 319.32-2.fc19, but it is empty at rpmfusion-nonfree-updates website! Any idea when they will fill it with full bucket of data:C

Indeed. The kmod-nvida 304.88 package is also listed but won't install:

Dependency Resolution Errors:

xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-304xx conflicts with xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-173xx-173.14.37-5.fc19.x86_64xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-173xx conflicts with xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-304xx-304.88-12.fc19.x86_64

Are the packages missing or are there dependency errors?:Y

These were installed but akmod-nvidia can't install kmod-nvidia:

akmod-nvidia-304xx-304.88-2.fc19.x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-304xx-libs-304.88-12.fc19.x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-304xx-304.88-12.fc19.x86_64

Or something I don't understand... :confused:

The kmod-nvidia file you refer contains no files because it a a "meta" package. It has no files but contains a dependency on another package which will be pulled in.

[paul@Brody ~]$ rpm -qpl Downloads/kmod-nvidia-319.32-2.fc19.x86_64.rpm
warning: Downloads/kmod-nvidia-319.32-2.fc19.x86_64.rpm: Header V3 RSA/SHA256 Signature, key ID cd30c86b: NOKEY
(contains no files)

[paul@Brody ~]$ rpm -qpR Downloads/kmod-nvidia-319.32-2.fc19.x86_64.rpm
warning: Downloads/kmod-nvidia-319.32-2.fc19.x86_64.rpm: Header V3 RSA/SHA256 Signature, key ID cd30c86b: NOKEY
kmod-nvidia-3.10.3-300.fc19.x86_64 >= 1:319.32-2.fc19
rpmlib(FileDigests) <= 4.6.0-1
rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1
rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1
rpmlib(PayloadIsXz) <= 5.2-1

@benbullard79 - This was a dependency issue that also happened on F18, where the xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-173xx package was somehow mistakenly added as a dependency. There is another thread on a fix for this issue, but I resolved it on my F18 systems by doing this:

yum --exclude=xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-173xx-173.14.37-5.fc19.x86_64 update

Of course, I used the F18 package name of the xorg-x11-drv-173xx that caused this problem for me.

Thanks for the info. I got nvidia driver working by simply installing the specific kmod-nvidia package for the current kernel.:dance:

try it but not working in my f19 with latest kernel. So using one step old kernel. I am jealous now :blink:
