I'm trying to install the Windoze version of Chrome under wine so that I can chromecast from a browser (chromecast isn't supported on Linux or on the Android version of Chrome). When I do the install I get an error saying that wine can't connect to the Internet.

I'm running 64 bit F19.

I should add that I have both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of nss-mdns installed.

No real experience with wine, but I do know there are some security controls available to block such access. You might try looking at the SELinux label assigned to wine against what it is permitted to do.

Selinux is disabled that's the first thing I do on a new install. BTW I got Chromecast working on the native Chrome browser so I don't need the WIndows version. All I had to do was disable the firewall, it was blocking upnp.
