View Full Version : Random nlockmgr port assignment in F19 is killing me

I hope this is the correct thread for this question. I searched the forums and was unable to find it being asked before.

After upgrading F17-F19 with fedup I no longer could mount network filesystems from one system to the other. I found via Google that the ports for nlockmgr are assigned randomly at boot time in F18 and beyond. I changed my settings in /etc/sysconfig/nfs and restarted the rpcbind, nfs-server, nfs-lock, nfs-idmap and iptables services and NFS worked again until the next reboot which required repeating the process.

I searched deeper for a better solution in F19 but could not find anything. So, turning to the great folks at this forum, can anyone help me?
