BIOS sees all 6GB, and doing dmidecode also shows that I have two 2048GB and two 1024GB with all available DIMM used. However, no util in FC17 seems to recognize my total available memory.

I tried different RAM just to be sure, it does it with 3 different brands and 6 different modules.

~$ uname -a
Linux A1028 3.4.0-1.fc17.x86_64 #1 SMP Sun Jun 3 06:35:17 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I'd imagine that I wouldn't need to add PAE since 64bit should be able to see over 4gb natively, but I could be wrong .... what am I missing?

DDR2 DDR3?

How many slots vs. where are the chips? Same speed timing?

DDR2 on 4 slot machine
S1 = 2GB
S2 = 1GB
S3 = 2GB
S4 = 1GB

Also, your kernel is old for F17.
May want to update. 3.4.4-5 is newest.
