Hi,

Just this weekend, I got rid of the Windows 7 on my x201 and installed F17 onto it.
Back then when I did use Windows 7, I ran a lot of tasks, and programs and they darn thing never got hotter than "room" temperature.

However, when I got F17 up and running, even something as simple as using firefox and terminal can send to machine into temperatures that are too hot to touch.

I saw the thread that dealt with AMD/Radeon graphics fixes, I was wondering if there is one similar to that for the Intel.

Could it be the graphics driver? The fan that is not responding? Or simpyl because the default settings make everything to "high performance?"

Any help would be appreciated.
