I have a new seagate 120 and i move my hole old 60 gb seagate to new one.
I have a news disk 120 and i install fc3 on it.
But in my old disk i still have my old partition with fedora core 2.
I add to my fedora 3 grub.conf the message with fc2 boot.
I just change my hd(0.6) to hd(1.6)
The old disk came from master to slave on the same ide.
And now when i choose fc2 is does't boot , hang in the start init number ..... and nothing.
How can i start my fc2 ?

Is the partitioning of the disks the same? Your FC2 system may not have /boot on partition 6. Also, the FC3 install should have found the FC2 install, if the drive was connected, and added it to grub automagically.

I didn't change anything on that 60gb disk.
The path to the disk is good because i see tle logo an the text init .....
And then nothing , maybe the problem is in that change from master to slave ....
but i have in the past the second linux on my second slave drive and it works.
But maybe the fc2 was on master disk , the 0,6 and now it is on slave and 1,7 and this change is the problem.
I don't know :(
