We interrupt our frantic Fedora 17 validation briefly to bring you the news that it's GNOME Boxes Test Day (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2012-05-17_Gnome_Boxes) today in #fedora-test-day on Freenode IRC. Boxes is the new GNOME application that acts as a front end to virtual machines and to graphical remote machine connections (e.g. VNC). As it's new it needs lots of testing, so please stop by and help out if you have a chance!

All the instructions for testing and downloadables are on the Wiki page (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2012-05-17_Gnome_Boxes), and you can join #fedora-test-day on IRC to chat with other testers and members of the Boxes team. If you're not a regular IRC user, read these instructions (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_use_IRC) or just click on this WebIRC link (http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=fedora-test-day). Thanks!

Hey Adam. Will an up-to-date F17 install work as opposed to downloading and installing fresh? If so, then I can just yum install gnome-boxes-3.4.1-1.fc17.x86_64 from the Fedora repository.

yum list gnome-boxes
blah ...
blah ...
blah ...
gnome-boxes.x86_64 3.4.1-1.fc17 @fedora

If so, then I can just yum install gnome-boxes-3.4.1-1.fc17.x86_64 from the Fedora repository.

yum install --enablerepo=updates-testing gnome-boxes

will offer you the last version (3.4.2-1.fc17)
